ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR BELGIUM VISA

1. Indian National holding a valid Indian passport can apply for Belgium Visa.
2. Person wishes to travel to Belgium for the purpose of Tourism/Family or friends Visit/Business can apply visa through Visa Lounge. Person who seeks employment in Belgium is not eligible to apply through Visa Lounge.
3. Travel insurance is mandatory requirement for passengers traveling to Belgium. Visa Lounge also provides Travel Insurance to passengers at an additional cost.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
Business:
1. Passport: Valid for at least 03 months with a minimum of 2 blank pages available. (Please attach all old passports)

2. Application Form:  One online visa application form duly filed and signed by applicant.

3. Photographs- Required the two recent camera click  passport sized colored photograph (35mm x 45mm) on a white background with 70 % face cover on a semi-matt finished paper.

4. Covering Letter: Covering letter on company letter head from the applicant addressed to, the visa officer, Consulate General of Belgium, Mumbai stating name of the applicant, personal profile, nationality, passport details, purpose of visit, period of stay with dates and also to be noted that all the expenses including medical, boarding & lodging will be borne by the applicant / sponsor. 

5. Invitation Letter: Invitation letter to addressed to, the visa officer, Consulate General of Belgium, Mumbai stating name of the applicant, relationship,  nationality, passport details, purpose of visit, period of stay with dates and also to be noted that all the expenses including medical, boarding  & lodging will be borne by the applicant / sponsor.

6. Flight reservation: With names of all travelers. If applicable proof of intra-Schengen flight, train itinerary or car rental

7. Proof of accommodation: Confirmation of hotel reservation copy

8. Travel Insurance:  Copy of travel medical insurance policy of not less than 30,000 Euros. The policy must cover medical and hospitalisation expenses for the entire period of valid stay on Schengen territory as well as repatriation costs.

9. Financial documents:

·         Updated original bank statement for last 03 month with bank seal & sign (Company & Personal)

·         ITR copy last 3 years (Company & Personal)

·         Salary slip for last 03 month

10. Company memorandum copy/ company registration copy Company shop establishment copy or any company registration certificate copy

Tourist:
1. Passport: Valid for at least 03 months with a minimum of 2 blank pages available. (Please attach all old passports)

2. Application Form:  One online visa application form duly filed and signed by applicant. (for applicant under 18 of age duly sign by parent)

3. Photographs- Required the two recent camera click  passport sized colored photograph (35mm x 45mm) on a white background with 70 % face cover on a semi-matt finished paper.

4. Covering Letter: Covering letter on company letter head (if self-employed) from the applicant addressed to, the visa officer, Consulate General of Belgium, Mumbai stating name of the applicant, personal profile, nationality, passport details, purpose of visit, period of stay with dates and also to be noted that all the expenses including medical, boarding & lodging will be borne by the applicant / sponsor.  (draft attached).

5. Proof of accommodation: Confirmation of hotel reservation copy

OR

6. If visit relative/ friend: Invitation Letter: Invitation letter to addressed to, the visa officer, Consulate General of Belgium, Mumbai stating name of the applicant, relationship,  nationality, passport details, purpose of visit, period of stay with dates and also to be noted that all the expenses including medical, boarding  & lodging will be borne by the applicant / sponsor.

7. Invitee person’s passport copy first and address page and valid visa copy.

·         Employment proof

·         Bank statement for last 03 month

·         Pay slip last for 06 month

10. Travel Insurance:  Copy of travel medical insurance policy of not less than 30,000 Euros. The policy must cover medical and hospitalisation expenses for the entire period of valid stay on Schengen territory as well as repatriation costs.

11. Proof of occupation:

If self employed

·         Company memorandum copy/ company registration copy Company shop establishment copy or any company registration certificate copy which is showing that owner of this company  

·         Company bank statement for last 03 month with bank seal and sign.

·         ITR last 03 years

If company employee

·         Company leave letter

·         Salary slip for last 03 month

For Student- School/ College id card copy

Personal Financial documents:

·         Updated original bank statement for last 03 month with bank seal & sign

·         ITR copy last 3 years

·         Other financial papers such as fix deposit receipts copy

12. If the applicant is retired- Proof of retirement, pension statements for the last three months; - proof of regular income generated by ownership of property or business.

13. If applicant is travelling for honeymoon then Marriage certificate or Marriage Card and Engagement /Marriage photographs are required.

14. If minor is accompanied by one parent/travelling alone shall provide a NOTARIZED NOC from other/both parents with their passport copy.

Authority letter on letter head/blank sheet from pax as per the format given on the forms section of our website. Authority letter needs TO BE SIGNED BY THE APPLICANT and not by anyone on his behalf.

15. BIOMETRIC MANDATORY for all Applicants w.e.f. 02-Nov-2015. (Please see instructions below)

PROCESSING TIME
Minimum 15 working days excluding the day of submission at VFS

Applicants can pay Visa and other fees through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking and IVR.

IMPORTANT POINTS FOR FAST TRACK VISAS

1. The Embassy reserves the right to ask for additional documents and/or for a personal interview. 
2. All Schengen Embassies have stopped accepting the passports which are handwritten or have any observation on the front data page Hence, all such passport holders are requested to get a fresh passport booklet to apply for Visa 
3. W.e.f 25 Jan 2017each and every applicant will be required to visit VFS Center personally for LIVE PHOTOGRAPH even if they have given their biometric data (after 02-Nov-2015). Which means, even if the applicant holds a VIS visa, he/she will be required to come personally at VFS for submission of his/her case. 

Following travellers are exempted from Biometric
 1. Children under 12 years of age
 2. Persons for whom the collection of fingerprints is physically impossible
 3. Sovereigns and other senior members of a royal family, Heads of State and members of the national Governments (with their official delegations and spouses) if they travel for official purposes.
"For all category visa minimum Validity of passport should be 6 months"
